My name is Becky. I’m a wife, mom, designer, photographer, womanist, and rabid coffee consumer. With 10+ years of experience in the creative industry, I’ve helped people of all persuasions tell their stories. From the biggest of the big wigs to the smallest of the small fries, I’ve experienced the full range of client relationships. All have taught me lessons, some have left me with work I am proud of, but none could keep me from spending time with my two girls during the beginning of their little lives. I’ve spent the past 4 years of my career treading water in order to soak in all of their baby-ness. I’ve also felt an empty space where my work once thrived.
I want to fill that space with a new gift. I want my babies to see me doing what I love. I want them to learn by example, and know that they have the ability to grow into powerful women who won’t let the world define them. I want them to see their mom create beautiful things, and succeed in a job she loves. My goal is to find a part time job that is both professionally and personally empowering.
I’ve been following JaneMade for some time now, and your mission to uplift female entrepreneurs has always resonated. I feel strongly that I could add value and a powerful creative voice to your team. I hope that you’ll read further about my experience and take a look at my most recent work. I thank you in advance for your time and attention.
Big agencies. Small firms. Startups. Walt Disney World. I’ve worked at them all. And about 10 years into my career, I decided to leave the corporate world in the rear view and work for myself. From 2014-2015, I worked full time on my own design business. I have maintained my freelance career on a part time basis ever since. During that time I’ve participated in countless startup projects. I truly love helping small ideas grow into their full and final manifestation.
Photography is a medium that I fell in love with in high school, and became even more devoted to in college. In 2013, my wedding photographer invited me to tag along on a few of her shoots and taught me everything she knew about the trade. That opportunity has grown into a flourishing business of my own. Fifty One Hale Photography has kept me busy on weekends throughout the past five wedding seasons. This endeavor has nourished my need for creativity, and given me the skills to document my own growing family.
